About Suncipher
Last updated June 2, 2026
Suncipher started from a frustration, not a business plan: it's genuinely hard to find home energy advice that shows its work. Solar quotes vary by thousands of dollars with no explanation. Tax credit articles copy each other without linking the actual IRS guidance. "Best heat pump" lists read like they were written by someone who's never stood in an attic in July.
We write for homeowners, property investors, and small business owners trying to make a real financial decision — not just people looking for a quick answer to skim past. That means every cost figure comes with a source and a date, every calculator shows its formula, and every technical claim about wiring, sizing, or code compliance is reviewed by someone licensed to make that call.
What we cover
Solar and battery storage, heat pumps and HVAC, electric vehicles and home charging, and the incentive programs — federal and state — that affect what any of it actually costs you. We also maintain a directory of installers and a set of interactive calculators, both built to the same standard as our articles: clear about how they work and what they don't know.
How we're funded
Suncipher earns revenue through display advertising and, on some pages, affiliate relationships with companies in our directory — always disclosed inline, never disguised as editorial content. See our Advertising Disclosure and Affiliate Disclosure for specifics. No company can pay to change a rating, a ranking, or the content of an article.
Who's behind it
Every article is written or reviewed by a named person with real credentials — see our Authors & Reviewers page. We're a small, independent team, and we'd rather publish fewer things well than chase volume.
